ASSESSMENT ROLL AND GRIEVANCE INFORMATION
Pursuant to Sections 506 and 526 of the Real Property Tax Law:
- Notice is hereby given that the 2026 Tentative Assessment Roll for the Town of Copake is completed, and a copy thereof may be seen at Copake Town Hall, 230 Mountain View Rd, Copake, NY, from May 1 through June 1.
- Notice is hereby given that an Assessor will be in attendance with the Tentative Assessment
Roll for the Town of Copake by phone appointment only on the following days:
May 5 and 12: 10 am – 2 pm;
May 16: 8 am-12 pm;
May 19: 10 am – 12 pm and 6-8 pm.
You must schedule a phone appointment by calling 518-329-1234 x4.
- Notice is hereby given that the Board of Assessment Review for the Town of Copake
will meet to hear and examine all properly filed complaints in relation to assessments of Real
Property at Copake Town Hall, 230 Mountain View Rd, Copake, on May 27, 2026, 4-8 pm.
- A publication containing procedures for contesting an assessment is available at the
Assessor’s Office or the Columbia County Real Property Tax Office as well as

Grievance forms will be accepted at the town hall or by mail. They will not be accepted via
email.
